About Lyttelton SDA Church

We are a multi-cultural bible-based Christian congregation who worship together every Saturday in Lyttelton Centurion.
The simple path we’re offering will help you:

  • Find trustworthy answers
  • Experience total peace of mind
  • Live with purpose
  • Find forgiveness
  • See the world differently—understand why our lives are so full of trouble and at the same time, learn why there is hope
  • Learn the end of the story, and find freedom, healing and hope in Jesus

But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines and the basis of all reforms.

Ellen White

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.

C. S. Lewis

The Bible is our rule of faith and doctrine.

Service Times

Our typical Sabbath programs run as follows:

9:15am: Sabbath School – During this time-slot we focus on sharing our Christian experience, worshipping God in song, and reaching out to others in mission fields both abroad and at home.
We cater for your children during this time too – there are a variety of different classes available for them to attend where they will learn more about Jesus through various age-appropriate activities. Please ask one of our friendly deacons (you’ll find them at the door) to assist you in this regard if you are unsure of where to go.
10:00am: Small Group Bible Study – This is an interactive discussion time where we divide into small groups and dig deep into various topics in Scripture.
11:00am: Main Church Service – Join us as we worship God through song, prayer and an uplifting message. Our worship services also feature a special children’s segment, so that they whole family is involved in the service.
Sabbath Closing We like to come together about 20 minutes before the sun sets on a Saturday to close the Sabbath and start the new week together. This usually comprises of a short devotional, shared blessings and a few songs.
